Make up for wrinkles

If you have wrinkles, I bet you are looking for any possible way to get rid of them! Maybe, instead of thinking of them as a burden, or a sign of being “old” you should look at them as a sign of being wise, and experience? So many people try every day to remove them, reduce them or prevent them, but maybe we should concentrate more on celebrating them and being prud to be the age we are instead of trying to look younger.

Unless wrinkles are a sign of another medical condition, there should be no reason to be ashamed of them. Everyone gets them at some point in their life, so why are they such a taboo subject? With celebrities getting skinnier and younger looking by the day, it is no wonder that we are all under such pressure to take a look at our own appearances. People are taking so many drastic measures to prevent wrinkles from happening and hiding them when they have already stared to appear. What is so wrong about using make up for wrinkles? Why do people feel the need to resort to surgery and such like as a way to make themseves feel better by believing that the rest of us think they are younger than what they are.

In reality, we all want to look good. However, not all of us have the luxury of being able to afford surgery, dermabrasion and other such methods of hiding or reducing wrinkles. The majority of us have to settle for using make up for wrinkles. Thankfully, make up companies have realized that we are doing this and are now fortifying the make up we are using with vitamins and antioxidants that are renowned for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Not only that, but they are adding more and more varieties of make up for wrinkles on to the market and making them even more affordable for us all. Tinted moisturizers with anti-aging properties are helping us to become more and more vain, and allowing us all to believe that we can fool people into thinking we are younger.

The good thing is, if we believe that we look good to other people, then we feel better on the insides and with the increase of depression and other such medical conditions, maybe that is a good thing. After all, none of us really want to think about growing older and getting wrinkles. The thing you need to remember, is how to apply the make up for wrinkles properly so that it hides them instead of highlighting them.

Firstly, you need to make sure that the make up you have got, for example, concealer and foundation, is the right color for your skin. Too dark and you could look more orange than skin-colored, too light and it will just highlight the wrinkles and accentuate them instead of hiding them. You also need to ensure that the make up for wrinkles that you are using is not applied too thick. If this is the case, the foundation will show that the wrinkles have just been “filled in” rather than hiding them. Again, if it is too thin, then it will just have been a waste of time. You can generally get the right consistency by using a brush or sponge rather than your fingers.

When buying make up for wrinkles, you need to make sure that the things you are buying are suitable for your skin. If you have very sensitive skin, or other skin conditions, then you may need to buy products that are sepcific to this skin type. Otherwise, you may end up hiding the wrinkles, but you will irritate your skin and could end up with more problems than just wrinkles!
