Many people often ask the dietician as to what should be the ideal weight for them. An ideal weight that a person should have depends on his height and his body mass. A BMI also known as the Body Mass Index is one of the most commonly used tools to check whether your weight is in the ideal weight range or not.

There are many sites on the internet, especially health sites that have their own free BMI calculator. All you have to do is enter your height in inches or centimeters and your weight in kilograms or pounds and the BMI will calculate your body mass index and your ideal weight range. You can then look up the chart to check whether you have the ideal weight or whether you are overweight or underweight.

Efforts should then be made to maintain an ideal weight especially if you are overweight. Obesity or more weight may lead to complications like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart stoke and gout problems. The main causes of obesity are lack of physical activities and exercise and also not following an ideal diet. Remember that what you eat greatly affects your chances of achieving ideal weight. Foods that are high in calorie and fat content are very harmful for the body. Hence foods that are rich in vitamins and less in sugar and fat content should be eaten regularly. Desserts, confectionaries, cakes and pastries should be avoided as far as possible to maintain ideal weight.

If you are motivated to maintain an ideal weight then you will lose excess weight faster. Seek motivation from your friends and family members. Seek regular advice from your dietician. You will be amazed after seeing the positive results just after one week of following an ideal weight loss program. Proper exercise should also not be left behind to maintain an ideal weight. Doing exercises will not only burn your fat and calories but also keep your body healthy and fit. It was known from centuries ago that what we eat affects our health. The science that studies our food intake and its effects on our health is called nutrition. The diet that we eat produces either god or bad effects on our health. In nutrition you examine how, why, when, all this happens. The health professionals who are experts in nutrition science, are called dieticians .They give you diet advice which is totally evidence based .If there is some imbalance in your nutrition requirements, they find it out. There can be two types of nutrition imbalances in your food intake. You may be taking certain type of food, excess of which can cause imbalance in your nutrition, causing problems of health.
One simple example is sugar in case of a diabetic patient. The intake of sugar is necessary ingredient of your nutrition but in case of diabetic patient it is necessary to control the sugar to avoid any imbalance in your nutrition
Second type of imbalance in nutrition can take place because of fewer intakes of certain types of foods. We require vitamins and minerals to maintain our health. Green vegetables are an important source of natural vitamins and minerals. If you are not using much of green vegetables in your diet, it may cause deficiency of vitamins, which in turn will lead to imbalance in your nutrition. Thus in this case a dietician will, advice you to, increase the green vegetables in your diet to correct imbalance in nutrition.
It is oblivious that studies in nutrition will take research for months or years to prove or disprove certain hypothesis from nutrition point of view. You have to note all the food intake first. Then note everything about person’s health at the time of ingestion. Note all the health points after the digestion. Finally note all chemicals present in human waste.
This observations noting has to be continued over prolong time, before coming to any conclusion from nutrition point of view.
When we take food it contains certain chemicals which are useful for our body health. Our body secretes certain chemicals. We can call them digestive juices. These chemicals have reactions on chemicals from the food. After the reaction, two types of chemicals are produced. First type is useful for our health; this is absorbed by our body. The second part is waste chemicals. These are not useful for body health. They are thrown away by the body. This ultimately forms human excreta. Our body has lot many cells. If they function well, our body remains healthy. If these cells do not get their nutrition, our health suffers
It is obvious that our nutrition depends on proper diet.

Hide the wrinkles

If you are one of the millions of people in the world that are plagued with wrinkles, then you must be thinking of the ways in which you can hide the wrinkles. Believe it or not, you do not have to resort to surgical methods or walking around with a paper bag over your head. There are ways in which you can use the make up you have in your cosmetics bag to hide the wrinkles.

Foundation is a wonderful thing and is used to cover all manner of sins. You can also use this foundation to hide wrinkles. Whether it is in a powder, liquid or a mousse form, you can use this, with the right amount of thought into buying the right one, to cover a multitude of sins, including wrinkles. You must first try to buy one that is the closest you can get to your natural skin colour. If it is the wrong colour, it will not hide the wrinkles, it will just accentuate them. Too dark and your skin may just look orange, too light and you will look pale. Try applying the foundation with a brush or a sponge instead of your fingers as you may find that they will apply it too thick and again, make the wrinkles look more “filled in” rather than hidden.

If you are not a big fan of foundation, try getting a tinted moisturizer instead. This will look and appear lighter than a foundation and doesn’t need such delicate handy work. This is good for those that wear make up on a regular basis, by taking care of the skin whilst hiding imperfections such as wrinkles. Again, tinted moisturizes will still need a bit of care and consideration behind buying them, but it doesn’t matter too much if the colour is not an exact match.

If you have dark circles around the eyes, then a lightning concealer can be used to hide both the darknness and also to hide the wrinkles. Lightning concealers reflect the light, making the dark circles appear lesser and can also hide wrinkles by bouncing the light off of them. The thing you need to remember is that the foundation will only really work if the skin underneath it is moisturized and well nourished. If the skin is smooth then the foundation covering it will be. Make up can only work so many wonders!

The trick behind hiding wrinkles with the help of make up, is finding the right make up for you. You need to get the right colour, texture and type to suit you. Lightning concealers will work if the skin is dark, if it is already light then you may find yourself being somewhat shiny. You can get cosmetics specific for being able to hide wrinkles. It may be slightly more costly, but it has been proven to work, by other people such as yourselves. These will have more vitamins and minerals in that have been proven to fight against wrinkles, and will bring extra nourishment into the areas that need it most. Try some out and play around with your make up. Only you know what you like and what you think looks good, and these are the basics to whcih you should work around!
