I recently visited Dr Vickie Carter, a renowned Naturalist Doctor. She is a proponent of that believes that all disease begins in the colon. Our environment (food, land, water and air) has changed in the just the last 50 years; it is much more polluted now. The digested system breeds good and bad bacteria. A colon cleanse and a proper diet will assist in maintaining one’s digestive system in working order. at the advice of Dr Carter’s recipe, I tried the following combination: 2 Cascara Sagrada Capsules, then in a shaker cup combine 4 ounces of organic apple juice, 4 ounces of purified water, 1 table spoon of Psyllium husk, 2 tablespoons of chlorophyll, 2 tablespoons of hydrated bentonite, vigorously shake or blend the ingredients above and drink immediately, as the fiber in the Psyllium husk will thicken as it does in your intestine (giving you a full feeling. Be sure to take this cleanse solution 1 hour prior to meals or 3 hours after a meal. It’s best to cleanse daily for 2 weeks straight each quarter, so 4 times per year.
Colon cleansing can include a number of alternative therapies claimed to remove “toxins” from the colon. Colon cleansing may be branded colonic or colonic irrigation or colon hydrotherapy.
Some forms of colon cleanse use tubes to inject water into the colon via the rectum using special equipment. If you decide to try hydrotherapy, make sure the equipment is sterilized or new equipment is used for each therapy session. Also check references and reviews for practices providing the service. Some people believe that accumulations of putrefied feces line the walls of the large intestine and that these accumulations include parasites or pathogenic good or bad gut flora, causing general ill-health. Frequent colon cleansing can lead to dependence on enemas to defecate and some herbs may interfere with the effectiveness of prescription drugs. As with any other health practice, one should consult their physician prior to any drastic changes in diet. One should never rely on too frequent cleansing, in order to defecate but periodic cleanse should remove toxins, parasites and bad bacteria. A few other benefits of cleaning colons, is that it jump starts weight loss and shrinks the stomach. Personally, my experience was that it reduced my appetite as well.
