How to Diet without getting hungry

Protein ShakeOne of the main issues with dieting is getting hungry while reducing caloric intake. There are many solutions for reducing hunger while dieting. Whether you are dieting or not, you should always drink plenty of water, ideally half your weight number in ounces, for an example, if you weigh 140 pounds, you should drink at least 70 ounces of water per day, plus whatever you consume while exercising.

Often times when you think you are hungry, you are really just thirsty, so gulp down the water. Also just about everywhere one goes these days; there is an offer of bottled water. I’ve been offered water at car dealerships, doctor’s offices, health food stores, at the office, meetings, conferences and etc. I used to decline, but now I accept bottled water whenever it’s offered, even if I’m not thirsty I save it for later Why the fuss about water sources, well, it makes it easier to meet my daily intake goal. Be sure to jump start your metabolism with a glass of water upon waking in the morning. Likewise, drink a glass or two prior to bed, in this way you can knock out 2 to 3 glasses of water with ease.

I’ve heard some people say that they don’t like the taste of water. If that’s the case, then add flavoring, such as a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and stevia (natural, no calorie sweetener), should eliminate that obstacle. Another method to reduce hunger involves supplementation. Often when you crave food, it’s your body trying to communicate to you that it isn’t getting enough nutrition. That’s the reason when you eat junk food you can’t put it down, before you know it, you’ve eaten a bag of candy, chips or cookies. Since there is little to no nutrition in junk food or fast food, your body screams give me more because it’s trying desperately to draw nutrition from junk food. Here are a few effective supplements used to reduce appetite: Hoodia, Chickweed and Green Coffee Bean Extract. Try all 3 to determine which one works best. Also begin with the suggested number of tablets and if there’s no effect you may have to add additional tablets until you get the desired results, but be sure not to exceed the recommend max as suggested on each supplement bottle.

Another method of decreasing appetite is drinking time release protein shakes between each meal and before bed time, the extra protein will not turn to fat since it doesn’t contain carbs. I like the Perfect Blend by Biohealth Corp, another brand I’ve tried is the Combat Protein Powder by MusclePharm Com (cookies and cream flavor). Both brands taste great, but the Perfect Blend brand is grass fed.

Do it yourself Alkaline Water

Cancer thrives in an acidic state and it dies in an alkaline state, thus the reason you want to consume the highest alkalinity possible, minimum 7.0 ph and if you can find 10 ph that will benefit your health tremendously. If you would like to measure the ph level of the water you usually drink, be it faucet or bottled water , you can purchase ph strips in health food stores or pharmacies.

Independent tests have concluded that Fuji and Evian brands have ph levels above 7.0. Also, water sourced from a protected source is another preferred option,that’s why I like the Crystal Geyser brand. Their spring water is obtained from protected natural spring sources and aquifers. The remote locations provide for geographical isolation and protection from man made activities to their spring sources. Crystal Geyser operators select remote spring sources , to prevent the risk of contamination from potentially harmful industrial, residential . and farming  activities.  In addition, they insure that  locations meet specific geological criteria in order to protect acquifers and ground water resources.  Crystal Geyser can be purchased at Whole Foods Stores, but the cheapest place to purchase it is Big Lots at $3 per 24 pack. You can purchase a Kangen Water Machine to make alkaline water, but it’s not cheap. For a do it your self alkaline water, just mix 1 teaspoon of organic baking soda(without aluminum) with 8 ounces of  bottled water with a ph of at least 7.0. Another do yourself alkaline water, substitute baking soda with an organic lemon and squeeze 2 tablespoons of lemon juice into 8 -12 ounces of water( with a ph of at least 7.0). pH is defined as the  power of hydrogen, which is a measurement of the hydrogen ion concentration in the body. The official pH scale ranges from 1 to 14, with 7 equating to  neutral. A pH less than 7 is said to be acidic and solutions with a pH greater than 7 are basic or alkaline.

Last but not least, I wouldn’t recommend tap water, there are just too many chemicals used during  the purifying process. For bathing, showering and cooking with tap water, I recommend using a shower filter, specifically a New Wave Enviro – Enviro Premium Shower Filter brand, just Google it to purchase online or purchase at Whole Foods for arond $45.

A colon cleanse and a proper diet will assist in maintaining one’s digestive system in working order. at the advice of Dr Carter’s recipe, I tried the following combination: 2 Cascara Sagrada Capsules, then in a shaker cup combine 4 ounces of organic apple juice, 4 ounces of purified water, 1 table spoon of Psyllium husk, 2 tablespoons of chlorophyll, 2 tablespoons of hydrated bentonite, vigorously shake or blend the ingredients above and drink immediately, as the fiber in the Psyllium husk will thicken as it does in your intestine (giving you a full feeling. Be sure to take this cleanse solution 1 hour prior to meals or 3 hours after a meal. It’s best to cleanse daily for 2 weeks straight each quarter, so 4 times per year.
