Strength Training-Get Stronger, Leaner, Healthier 1. Weight Training 101– Getting Started with strength training can be confusing. What exercise you should do? How many set, reps? What type of routine is bets for me? What Type of equipment should I use. I know getting started is tough, but you can do it with research. 2. The Basics– If you are setting up your own program, you'll need to know some basics principles. These principles will help you make sure your using enough weight determines your sets and reps and to insure you are moving forward in your workouts. 3. Consider your options– Strength training can be done just about anywhere. Here are some options. A) Body weight training– you can do many exercise with little or no equipment. Push-ups, pull-ups, plank, prisoner squats. Try doing a bootcamp style of training. B) Bands, tubing, Rubber Band– This is very inexpensive, lightweight and they provides great resistance. Go online and do some research. C) Machines– Most gym's offer many kinds of fitness machines. Don't go spend a ton a money on machines for your home. Machines work well but limit your mobility. So don't use this as your primary routine. D) Free weights, Barbells, Dumbbells — these are great training tools. There are so many different exercise's you can do with this equipment.
