sickness can't slow down the deads… BW 199! I'm still sick and it sucks but life goes on and I don't have time to slow down my training now. Headed in a bit later today to attack my first session of deadlifts since my less than a week ago. I'm running an altered 3/5/1 deadlifting template for this cycle that I am hoping can really build my overall and RAW pulling strength. even though I was coughing like a fool today I still managed to get a pretty solid session in. Deadlifts (dbl overhand no hook) 135×2 225×2 315×2 405×1 switch to over under grip 485×3 add belt and chalk 555×3 620×4 (really should have got 5 I breathed in a bad spot on the 5th rep and started the pull too forward, just couldn't overcome the bad mechanics and I'll have to do better next week) Oly squats 135×3 225×3 325×5 375×5 (was planning on running 5/3/1 oly squats and hitting my topset of 425 today, but my coughing kept screwing up my core tightness and I couldn't get a good shelf for the weight, I'll be trying to start these again next week when I'm well again) Pause deads (w/ belt) 425+40 lb chain 3×4 Speed pulls (w/o belt) 425+40 lb chain 3×4 all 8 sets were done with 75 sec rest or less, thanks to my boy Cyal Christmas for timing me and keeping me under my limit Axle SLDLs off of a 4" box (no belt) weights calculated assuming the axle was 30 lbs 350x8x2 390×9 (these were easier than I expected, definitely will be upping the weight next week) core work Posing practice (didn't have a lot of energy <b>…</b>
