My Borneo short-tail was showing signs of respiratory infection (bubbles on mouth, awkward breathing pattern, whistling). I was pretty confident that it wasn't RI as my setup is really good. Just some stuck shed on the nostrils that I couldn't remove. Doctor confirmed that it doesn't look like RI as well, but prescribed some anti-biotics just in case. We also found that she might have a possible blockage for her fecal matter. So we took an x-ray and will be monitoring it for the next 10 days or so. Doctor suggested that I soak her daily to help with the constipation. He did say that it is rare for snakes to have it. From my knowledge, short-tails have a tendency to hold in feces for a really long period of time (compare to other pythons), so I am not too worry about this part of it. The hard thing to do now is to give her anti-biotics.
