Description of an approach to study KRAS and BRAF genes via capillary electrophoresis on an Applied Biosystems 3500 Genetic Analyzer and ABI 3130xl. Presentation of a study of colorectal cancer samples using the KRAS mutation and BRAF mutation reagents showing variant frequency. These reagents look at codon 12 and codon 13 using a fragment analysis approach on a DNA sequencer.
