This is what a normal colonoscopy looks like. It takes about 20-30min to do and patients go home the same day. Pills can now be given the day before as a 'prep'. Talk to your doctor. The preferred way to screen for colon cancer is with colonoscopy. EVERYONE should be screened at age 50. Sometimes it even needs to be done SOONER depending on other factors.
