In 2008, Protica purchased a 13 acre dairy plant campus with 250000 square feet of production and warehousing in Whitehall, PA. The former dairy plant is home to Protica's manufacturing, logistics, research and development activities, where more than 100 different products are produced. Weight of the D20 and D26 engine series

The design of the D20 and D26 Common Rail engines included measures aimed specifically at arriving at a low weight. A direct comparison with the predecessor ranges shows that a weight reduction of approx. 100 kg has been achieved. The dry weight of the D20 and D26 Common Rail is up to 200 kg below that of comparable engines from competitors. The lower engine weight gives the vehicle a higher payload capacity, resulting in turn in a higher payload reserve on the front axle. This saves money, particularly in tanker and silo transport.
